Gracen’s Numerology Report

After doing some research, I’m more confused now than I was before by my numerology reading. When I began my research, I had the misperceived notion that numerology was related to dates and such, which it may still, but that wasn't what I found. For instance, my birthday is 10/4, and my son’s birthdays are 8/8 and 11/6. I have always thought that it was divine or cosmic proof that I was connected to my sons with the 4, 6 and 8 birthdates. My husband's birthday is the only gliche in that whole system, with his birthday being 10/21. However, thinking this would apply to numerology, I began my research and was left flailing and fluttering in confusion.

Here’s how Astrology-Numerology.com (http://www.astrology-numerology.com/numerology.html) defined numerology:

“Numerology by Michael McClain: Numerology is the study of numbers, and the occult manner in which they reflect certain aptitudes and character tendencies, as an integral part of the cosmic plan. Each letter has a numeric value that provides a related cosmic vibration. The sum of the numbers in your birth date and the sum of value derived from the letters in the name provide an interrelation of vibrations. These numbers show a great deal about character, purpose in life, what motivates, and where talents may lie. Experts in numerology use the numbers to determine the best time for major moves and activities in life. Numerology is used to decide when to invest, when to marry, when to travel, when to change jobs, or relocate. I'm not claiming that this website is going to make an expert of you so that all these questions can be answered, but we can at least get you on the way.”
So, reading that definition I thought I would do a couple of readings. The first website was http://www.facade.com/numerology/. It said this about my private life:

“Words that embody your presence are ‘Butcher, Council, Engineer, Glory, Mouth, Player, Power, Stars, Theater’.”
O-kkkkaayy…that meant absolutely nothing to me. I decided this website was for the more advanced and knowledgeable individual of numerology than for me. Especially, after it went on to explain that each alphabetical letter was given a numeric value. Interestingly, the website referenced that Adolf Hitler and Osama Bin Laden share the same numeric value, 110, and ironically enough share the same Tarot card. While I found this interesting—you guessed it—I was left even more confused.

My second reading was from Affinity Numerology (http://affinitynumerology.com/) and it gave me a reading for my personality. It stated that:

“Your heart is sincere. You are helpful and companionable, most always willing to work for and with others harmoniously. People correctly sense that you are a natural peacemaker and diplomat, patient, a good negotiator, and able to keep secrets as needed to make and maintain peace and harmony. Your graciousness, kindness, and deep consideration for others are sometimes not appreciated, even
taken advantage of. You can cultivate self-discipline and strength of purpose and would do well to find a quiet time for meditation every day.”

AMEN! I always need quiet time. Because I’m always saying I get over-stimulated with people around all the time. For the rest of it...um...just wow! I am a natural peacemaker, I believe in kindness, always want to work harmoniously with others and will go to extreme lengths to do so, and well, let's face it, secrets are meant to be kept. Or so I think. ;-) It further went on to say that I was sensitive, easy-going, friendly, and studious. It stated that I am spiritually and psychically sensitive and that I have the ability “to develop clairvoyant or other psychic abilities…You have a cosmic connection with spiritual wisdom. The Ancients are no stranger to you. In fact, you share their knowledge. You are known for who you are, and people seek you out to hear your words of wisdom.”

The Affinity Numerology reading seemed to hit my personality straight on the head. It was rather spooky. However, when I did the same reading for my husband and sons, it did not fit their personalities at all. I did another reading for my girlfriend, and while it had some things that were accurate, other things were not.

So, in conclusion, I think numerology probably has some validity, but I just did not find any consistency. I think more detailed research is needed to understand what seems to be a detailed and comprehensive concept. For me, researching numerology was a mixture of interest and irritation. The information was there, but hard for me to understand and the first reading was difficult and uninformative at best. The second reading was fun, but not accurate for anyone I knew but myself.

Tell me what you think. Tell me what you know. I would love to hear from someone that actually participates in numerology and/or has more background in the practice. And, as always, I would love to hear your opinions regarding numerology.

Have a great weekend everyone!
