Sarah's take on Tarot Cards

Hello everyone! Hope you're all having a great hump day!

Today I'll be discussing Tarot Cards. I have limited experience with them, but I find them very interesting. My husband used to play with them, but found them too spooky since he didn't like what they said, namely the Death card being on the top quite often. I reckon I'd find that scary, too.

When I was younger, I used to play Nintendo NES (yes, the original one way back when console games were just finding their ways into homes), and I found Taboo: The Sixth Sense, which was a "game" that gave users a tarot reading. You gave your name, birthday, and gender as well as a question. It then shuffled the cards and gave a tarot reading in the Celtic cross layout. You could even be given lottery numbers if you entered the state you're from.

I was very curious and intrigued about that kind of stuff back then. I am still to an extent, but not as much. I'm fairly comfortable with my life now, and don't need to see my future. I think there is something about Tarot cards though. I find them intriguing, and a creative writing professor I had even taught the class a method she used with Tarot cards to brainstorm her stories. Unfortunately I didn't really take notes that day, argh! But I found the idea interesting.

So what do you all think? Have you gotten a Tarot reading before? Have you wanted to get a Tarot reading done? Tell me what you think about Tarot cards! I can't wait to hear what your thoughts are on this subject. =)

The Mystery of My Life

Tarot cards are a mystery to me. I couldn’t do a reading if I tried. I get a free Tarot card in my email daily and while I enjoy reading it, I know it’s not accurate like a real Tarot reading would be. I have considered trying to learn to read them for myself, but I’m afraid I’d make a mess out of it. So I will stick with finding out what my reading says for me through the daily emails.

One day, I would like to have a professional Tarot reading done. I know they would have interesting insights into my life. I do believe that Tarot readings can provide accurate information if done properly by a professional. A friend of mine said she had a reading done for one of the characters in her book and it really provided some terrific insights into her character. She said it was pretty much dead on. That got me even more excited to have a reading done for myself.

I seem to always be searching to learn more about myself. I’ve taken numerous personality tests in my lifetime and they usually end up with the same results and pretty accurate. I’ve read about my horoscope and Chinese horoscope. I’ve read about my biorhythms. I’m always wanting to know more. A Tarot reading seems to be the next step in the process. One day soon, I’ll have to do that. Until then, I’ll keep searching for the meaning of my life.

What are your opinions on Tarot readings? Have you ever had one? I’d love to hear about it. Leave a comment and let me know your thoughts.
