Have I Walked These Streets Before?

I have no idea, but I’d like to find out!

Reincarnation is a very controversial topic and I honestly don’t know which side of the fence I fall on. I can’t say that I believe in it, because I honestly haven’t given it a lot of thought. Recently, however, I’ve started wondering about it.

It all began a few weeks ago when my mother and I were talking and she told me about a show she watched where reincarnation was discussed. I believe it was an episode of Oprah, but don’t quote me on that, LOL. Anyway, we got to discussing the subject and I started getting curious. She had recorded the show, so we sat down to watch it. It was actually quite interesting.

My mom then told me a story about when she was a child, how she used to have a recurrent vision of herself that must have been a past life experience. She told me about the experience and said it was something she wouldn’t even have known about at her age. She was 3 years old at the time. She said she’d never told another person about this, but she can remember it to this day, because it was so traumatic to her.

I’ve never had any experiences like that, but as I said, I was interested. So, I did some research online. I found this one site that had a video you could watch to self hypnotize yourself and find out who you were in a past life. I tried, but was unsuccessful.

I do not disbelieve in the concept, but I have no proof either. I’d like to find out if I’ve lived before and what my life was like, but at this time, that hasn’t happened. If anyone has links or ideas of how you find out online, let me know. I’d love to try it out.

If you’ve had an experience with reincarnation or learned that you’ve lived in a past life, please share your stories. I’d be interested in reading them.

I've never had an experience with reincarnation or learned that I've lived in a past life, but reading this blog post fascinated me. I'm really intrigued with this topic and it has me thinking. Maybe I have experienced this before but I passed it off as nothing important.

No personal reincarnation experiences. Just have a lot of deja vu of current events; which isn't the same thing. I have had a recurring dream, since I was a child, that I will die a violent death. Whether I am seeing my future or I am remembering a past life I've never been able to figure out and am a little afraid to. But here are a few website links which you, Sierra, and the rest of The Deadly Vixens and their fans may find interesting.

This link is just a bit of fun or is it??? ;)

I was once told that repetitive dreams are about past lives. I had a very very weird experience but no time to share it right now. Sorry! Late for work. LOL tarotbyarwen@gmail.com

Thanks for stopping by to read the blog Phoebe. Glad to see you here.

Scorpio1311, thanks for the links. I will definitely check them out. I LOVE reading about this stuff! I've had the deja vu experiences too, but I've never considered them the same either. I don't think I'd want to find out about those dream, I don't blame you there! Thanks for stopping by.

Tarot by arwen, stop back by when you have more time, I'd love to hear your story! Thanks for reading the blog today.

Hi Sierra!

I've always been fascinated by this subject, but have never been able to get hypnotized to do a past life regression.

I have a couple books on the subject: Tales of Reincarnation by Rosemary Ellen Guiley and How To Uncover Your Past Lives by Ted Andrews.

I do believe in it, but not because of an experience per-say. More because of the fact that I've always been inexplicably drawn to all things Gaelic, Celtic, and to Scotland, England and Wales. My family has no history in those countries, but I've always been fascinated by castles and medieval times there. Weird!

I have had several past life regressions revealing past lives. What you need to find is a certified hypnotherapist that does past life regressions. I could do it for you, but I think you are pretty far from me. :)

Some past lives can be traumatic to experience especially if you are taken to your time of death. In a safe environment with a therapist that knows what they are doing, you can minimize that trauma and potentially heal old wounds and hurts.

It is a VERY fascinating process.

Great topic!

Hi Judi, thanks for reading my blog post. I'm like you, I have no connection to those areas by family, but I have always been drawn to them also. I'd love to go to Ireland and Scotland. I could spend ages exploring Europe!

Bitten by Books, thanks for the comments. I'd love to do a past life regression and find out what my past lives were. I think you learn what lessons you're supposed to know this time around when you see where you've been. How long does it take to do the hypnotism? Can you do it in one session or does it take many? Maybe one of these days I'll get the opportunity to explore it further, but right now, it's just not feasible for me, starving artist and all that. Guess I'd better get to selling some books, LOL.

Hi, Sierra! We've discussed this topic before and it is always interesting to me.

I'm curious about the subject, but on the fence whether I believe in it or not as well. I like to think that reincarnation is valid...it'd be cool to know this isn't it.

Talking about recurring dreams, I have one that involves tornadoes...*shudders*...I HATE that dream. As for being drawn to specific eras, the Egyptian Pyramids is my fascination.

Interesting topic. I'm not sure I believe in reincarnation, but its interesting to read other people's beliefs and experiences with it.

Reincarnation is a pretty interesting thing. While I can't say that I've seen myself in different situations/times, I think I can truthfully say that I get deja vu like crazy many times.
