Reincarnation

Hi everyone! I'm back to my Wednesdays for certain now. *winks* No more time away from y'all.

My thought on reincarnation is that it might be possible, but I but haven't really contemplated it much. I've seen movies and TV shows dealing with it. There was an episode of Blood Ties that had about a guy and a woman that had so many lifetimes together, and in each life they would find each other by going back to a certain tree. In the current life, she was older than him and had gotten married, but he was insistent on them being together to the point that he was trying to mess up her marriage. It was romantic at first, but then it turned into downright creepy. With that in mind, I think I prefer the concept of living out my life and then having my soul move on to the "afterlife." This world can be challenging enough with the thought of living in it once, let alone an infinite amount of times! LOL

Plus, if you think about it, in my personal opinion, if reincarnation was real then why would there be a such thing as ghosts and spirits trapped here on earth? They would go on to their next life right? Hmm... never say never though. I think I have reached my fill on philosophic ponderings for these wee hours of the morning.

Now, tell me your thoughts on the subject! What do you think about reincarnation? Do you believe in it, or do you hold some skepticism to it like I do? *smiles*

that's almost how I feel about it. I don't think it exists, but I am interested in reading someone's experience about it.

I don't really believe in reincarnation and I'm not really sure if exists. I do think it's interesting hearing others who believe in it and even about their own person experiences.

Hmm...I do believe in reincarnation. I'm just not sure it happens to everyone. I think those who choose to go on, can go on. Ghosts or spirits are sometimes trapped here, because they refuse to move on....

Sarah, I'm so happy you have rejoined us!!!! Woohoo!! Our trio is back together! LOL.

I'm dissimilar in that, while I'm on the fence of whether I believe, I love the thought that we continue to go on to another life. I guess to me it's like recreating myself over and over again, kind of like I do when I write characters in my book. I live their lives, then move on to the next.

Okay, enough prattle from me. Again, glad you're back! :-)

It's great to see you back here. :)

What happens after death has always been a big question. As a note, on some occasions souls or spirits are trapped and unable to leave or to find peace. Old Chinese culture thought that unless a body is buried in the ground where it belongs to, the soul cannot return to the "cycle" of life and death, and will become a ghost. Some say that some spirits are trapped here because of unfinished business, such as revealing who stabbed them in the back alley and so on.

Personally I would prefer to move on with my life... or life-after-death... or how you want to phrase it :)

Thanks to everyone for your comments! They are really interesting!

That's a really interesting idea, Cynthia.

Hi Sierra! :D Yay! I'm glad to be back, too. I love the supernatural discussions as well.

Hi Gracen! I agree! I'm so happy the trio is back together again. That's really interesting, though, maybe I'm just a cynic, but I think with life it's a situation where you're just given challengings and positive events with not much but some control over things, and then there are those things that hit you from left field. Argh! lol I disagree that a person can really create themselves and their surroundings, but that the surroundings and events in a persons life shapes them to how they are. Hmmm! I think I should quite my ponderings! LOL

Marko-Bob, it's good to see you, too. That's really interesting. I agree that I'd much rather move on after my life. =)

*HUGS* to all! Thanks for making my homecoming a happy one with so many comments!
