The Mystery of My Life

Tarot cards are a mystery to me. I couldn’t do a reading if I tried. I get a free Tarot card in my email daily and while I enjoy reading it, I know it’s not accurate like a real Tarot reading would be. I have considered trying to learn to read them for myself, but I’m afraid I’d make a mess out of it. So I will stick with finding out what my reading says for me through the daily emails.

One day, I would like to have a professional Tarot reading done. I know they would have interesting insights into my life. I do believe that Tarot readings can provide accurate information if done properly by a professional. A friend of mine said she had a reading done for one of the characters in her book and it really provided some terrific insights into her character. She said it was pretty much dead on. That got me even more excited to have a reading done for myself.

I seem to always be searching to learn more about myself. I’ve taken numerous personality tests in my lifetime and they usually end up with the same results and pretty accurate. I’ve read about my horoscope and Chinese horoscope. I’ve read about my biorhythms. I’m always wanting to know more. A Tarot reading seems to be the next step in the process. One day soon, I’ll have to do that. Until then, I’ll keep searching for the meaning of my life.

What are your opinions on Tarot readings? Have you ever had one? I’d love to hear about it. Leave a comment and let me know your thoughts.

I came across something that I think were tarot cards 18 years ago. Followed the instructions and one of the cards said something that scared me, but was too chicken to tell my soon-to-be hubby about, as it pertained to an ex-idiot. Gathered them up and donated them to GoodWill. Wish I could remember what the hell it was...it was one of those 'let's- not-go-there-right-now' moments.

Thanks for the comment, Molly! Sorry you had a bad experience with the cards. That's one reason I won't do it myself. I'd be afraid that I'd read it wrong or something and scare the crap out of myself, LOL. I'm not implying that you did read them wrong, I just mean that I probably would.

If I remember right, it was something about not being quite 'done' with the ex. And as it turned out, we weren't done. And I was wrong about which ex-idiot. Funny; I never connected the dots until now. Hmmmm...

Hahaha...at first I thought the word verification said 'flood':)

Oh, wow! That's really interesting, Molly. So the Tarot cards were right. That's so cool!

Hi, Sierra! Great blog. I too believe tarot cards can be accurate, but, like you, I'm too afraid to try them for fear of what they would say. I'm a big wuss when it comes to anything futuristic about my life. What if it says something really, really bad that I'd rather not know?

Molly...interesting story and even more interesting that they were accurate. Have you ever told your hubby about what the tarot cards said?

Molly Daniels said...

Oh HELL no! I'll email you off-loop about it! He was watching me do it, but fortunately I had my back to him, and when I got to that part, I thought I knew what it pertained to, but managed to keep my cool and shrug and say, "What???" Yup...lied to my soon-to-be hubby...

I have a huge book about Tarot Cards, history, how to set up and interpret the cards, etc. One day I may muster up the courage to get a set of cards but like you Sierra I'm afraid to make a mess of it and like Gracen kinda afraid to find out anything bad. So my hat's off to you Molly for having the guts to do so!

I remember biorhythms! I had to do a paper on it for biology class back in the day - I personally found them accurate. Really surprised many moons later to find it had become mainstream and some newspapers carried the charts alongside the horoscopes!

Has anyone had their palms read or do you think that's a load of hooey!

Hmm...when I was in the 3rd grade, there was a 'palm reader' at the fair, and she told me I would have 3 kids. I scoffed as I got older...but 10 years after my 2nd child was born, the 'cabboose' showed up. So maybe she knew/saw something I didn't?????

Wow! No kidding. That's so cool. I'd love to have my palm read. I'm always interested in finding out more about myself and my life.
