Hello everyone! Today is October 1st! Hooray! Halloween is just at the end of the month now.
Yesterday my family and I went to a "gravity hill" called Spook Hill located in Lake Wales, FL. A gravity hill, according to Wikipedia is "also known as a magnetic hill (and sometimes a mystery hill or a gravity road), i
s a place where the layout of the surrounding land produces the optical illusion that a very slight downhill slope appears to be an uphill slope. Thus, a car left out of gear will appear to be rolling uphill. There are hundreds of gravity hill locations around the world."
At first, I didn't really understand the concept, since as you can see from the picture that there is a large hill in front of where you are supposed to be rolling, which one would assume you'd be rolling up that big honker. I then realized that what we were rolling back up was a hill, too. So it did actually work, just not as I thought it was going to. We did it twice. =) It's interesting now that I know what the deal is with it.
So have you ever been to a "paranormal" location, or more specifically a "gravity hill"? I'd love to hear what you have to say about this phenomenon! Let me know.

We actually have a gravity hill a couple of hours from where I live.
It's called Magnetic Hill and is located in Moncton, New Brunswick.
It's such a popular tourist attraction that it has a nearby zoo named after it. We used to go there a lot when I was a kid, but I have to admit it never really impressed me that much! My husband however thinks it's really cool, so go figure....
That's really cool, Cheryl! It's neat that someone else has experienced a gravity hill as well. I'll have to add that to my list of places to maybe one day see.
We have a 'Lucky Point' not far from us. Numerous UFO sightings in that area. Hubby's been; I've not. The kids want to go see it someday.
The most paranormal place I've ever been to is New Orleans. lol Never saw anything happen there though. *shrugs* Went on a vampire tour there once, but it was mostly about supposedly haunted places and the history behind them. Didn't find anything in the tour either except the local homosexual bar, which was way cooler than any of the legends. ;-) No offense was intended by that comment--at all. I thought the place was nifty, neat and was impressed by the freedom that was allowed to be expressed and all the people were friendly as well toward us hetrosexual couples.
I've heard about places like Gravity Hill. They seemed kind of neat, but now that I know the "reality", not so neat now. *shrugs again*
